Discover Arts Award

Introductory level Qualification

The Aim of the qualification Arts Award Discover encourages learners to develop a basic understanding of a range of art forms, to commit to taking part in arts activities and to develop a basic understanding of communication. Learners create a personal arts log (portfolio) containing evidence of their experiences. These arts logs can be in any format, including digital. Arts Award Discover provides a foundation to enable learners to be introduced to the arts and is a springboard to the other levels of Arts Award.

To achieve Arts Award Discover, young people create a personal 'arts log' of experiences. This provides evidence of:

  • taking part in arts activities

  • researching artists or craftspeople and their work

  • sharing their arts discoveries.

Here at Pictura studios we strongly promote the arts award as it is all about each child's individual journey through the arts. with the hard work each student puts in to their work we believe they should all be recognised and because of this we hold 2 exhibitions and award ceremony's, where students can show off their work and be recognised for all their hard work. this is held in Chester cathedral twice a year

Each term is 6 weeks long, for this course 2 of these 6 week blocks must be completed in order to successfully complete and gain your certification.

You can purchase the course in full by clicking the button to the left or you can add the cost of the arts award to any of the age relevant 6 week courses.
