Home Education Art Classes (Ages 6–10)

Our Home Education art classes offer a fun and engaging way for children to explore their creativity while building strong visual art foundations. Each term features a variety of exciting projects that introduce students to a wide range of artists, mediums, and techniques.

Children will experiment with both 2D and 3D processes, working with materials such as watercolours, inks, pastels, oil pastels, clay, papier mâché, and more. Projects are designed to be age-appropriate and support the development of artistic skills including drawing, painting, sculpting, and mixed media.

Each session begins with a short starter activity that builds core visual skills such as fine motor control, spatial awareness, and visual memory. These activities also help children grow in confidence and creativity while gradually learning about colour theory, composition, and tone.

This course is perfect for home-educated children who enjoy making art and want to deepen their understanding through hands-on, creative learning.

Over the term, students will explore colour, texture, composition, and form through a wide variety of materials and methods, all while developing confidence in their own creative choices. The full-term experience allows for progression, personal style discovery, and a deeper understanding of artistic thinking—all in a friendly, supportive environment.

Single sessions are great tasters but don’t offer the same growth opportunity as committing to the full learning journey.
