About this course

Teen Art Classes (Ages 11–16)

Our Teen Art Classes are designed for young artists aged 11–16 who are ready to expand their skills and explore a wide range of materials, techniques, and artistic ideas. Each course offers a series of structured, artist-led projects with clear weekly learning outcomes that promote both creative confidence and technical development.

Over the term, students will explore a variety of 2D and 3D media—including acrylics, watercolours, inks, pastels, clay, and mixed media—while drawing inspiration from both contemporary and historical artists. Each project introduces new challenges and approaches, allowing teens to experiment, refine their skills, and express their own creative voice.

Rather than following the same format each session, our classes are outcome-focused: one week might centre on tonal control and observational drawing, another on colour theory, sculpture, or mixed media layering. This varied structure keeps learning fresh and engaging, with every session building on prior knowledge while introducing new techniques and creative problem-solving.

This course is ideal for teens who want to strengthen their artistic skills, build a portfolio, or simply enjoy making art in a friendly and inspiring studio setting.
