Family Wheel Throwing Experience

Service Description

Interested in trying out the pottery wheel with your child? This event is perfect! Join us for our family potting wheel experience to get a feel for working with clay and using the wheel. Perfect for families of different ages looking to do something creative together. Our expert instructor will guide you through the process and help you create your own unique piece of pottery. Suitable for ages 8yrs+ During this session, You will learn how to wedge – prepare the clay – as well as centre – secure the clay on the wheel – and throw – pulling up the walls of the clay into a cylinder and form a basic shape, and finally trim it to finish. You will throw multiple pots and can choose one to be glazed and fired, which will be ready to collect within 4-6 weeks. We have 4 wheels available. Please note that If your booking is for less than 4 there could be other families in the class. £30per person for those using the wheel. Spectators welcome. Limited spots are available, so sign up now to reserve your spot!
