Kids Half Term Pottery Wheel Experience

A 60 minute session for ages 7-16yrs to come and learn Wheel Throwing this Half Term!

Dive into the world of pottery with our specially designed Kids’ Pottery Wheel Experience for children aged 7 and above! Let your little artists spin their imagination on the wheel, creating their own masterpieces under the guidance of our friendly experts.

No experience? No problem! Our session is perfect for beginners and provides all the fun and excitement needed to craft something truly special. Not only is it a blast, but it's also a great way for kids to enhance their motor skills and express themselves creatively.

Spotlight Features: Personal pottery wheel for each participant. Parents are encouraged to stay and spectate.

All materials provided, just bring your creativity

During this session, you will be welcomed by our experienced Pottery teachers, and introduced to our Pottery studio! After a short demonstration, you will learn how to wedge – prepare the clay as well as centre – secure the clay on the wheel – and throw – pulling up the walls of the clay into a cylinder and form a basic shape, and finally trim it to finish. You will throw multiple pots and can choose one to be glazed and fired, add colour glaze to your pot before you leave which will be ready to collect within 4-6 weeks.

You will be guided step by step to create your piece. You will then also be able to choose your colours and glaze it whilst on the wheel! After your session, leave your creation in the capable hands of our craft potters, who will dry your piece and dip into a clear glaze to seal it before heading into the kiln for firing over 24 hours unto 1300 degrees! Your finished piece will be ready for collection in 4-6 weeks.You will be contacted at this point to arrange collection. P&P can be arranged at £7 per item.
